Chicken pot pie bake

Chicken pot pie bake is a comforting and easy-to-make dish. Here’s a basic recipe you can follow:

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
  • 2 cups frozen mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn, etc.)
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 package refrigerated pie crusts (or you can use homemade pastry)
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare Filling: In a large bowl, combine the cooked chicken, frozen vegetables, cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, milk, thyme, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Assemble Bake: Place one pie crust into the bottom of a 9-inch pie dish or baking dish. Pour the chicken and vegetable mixture over the crust.
  4. Top with Crust: Place the second pie crust on top of the filling. Trim, seal, and flute the edges of the crust. Cut a few small slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape. If desired, brush the top crust with melted butter for a golden finish.
  5. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  6. Cool and Serve: Let the pot pie cool for a few minutes before serving. This allows the filling to set a bit.
